When your corporate values include commitment to innovation and a client-first mentality, ongoing development of the NAV Fund Services proprietary platform is a core part of the mission. Every year is a busy one for our 300+-strong technology team, but 2025 featured a very full agenda of intensive work designed to deliver optimal services and a premium client experience.

New & Expanded Client Capabilities

Client-facing enhancements were a primary focus, including launch of a self-service wire portal, stronger e-subscription workflows, enhanced data room capabilities, self-service email customization, increased Project Studio functionality, and expanded NAV API Gateway usage.

Self-Service Wire Portal
We introduced a self-service portal giving fund managers the option to submit wire requests directly through our platform, eliminating the need for email requests and the disorganization and lack of trackability that can create. The portal supports internal transfers (feeder to master, master to feeder, transfer to brokerage account, etc.) and invoice payments. Payment requests are routed to NAV for final review and once approved by NAV, the wire is processed via API on the bank portal.

E-Subscription
E-Subscription is now even easier to use, and more convenient and efficient for both fund managers and investors:

  • Reuse existing investor information to simplify the subscription process: If an investor has previously invested in a fund, subscription forms for any new funds will automatically be populated with existing investor details. Pre-populated forms promote data accuracy and consistency.
  • Clickthrough signatures reduce processing time and hassle: Subscription and addition forms can now be digitally signed and timestamped with a simple click within the subscription workflow, offering investors a quicker option to the extra steps required for DocuSign.
  • Prefill form data for new investors to make investing easy: Prefill data fields on subscription forms before sending them to new investors. Investors simply preview and digitally sign the form to finalize the subscription. It's a great way to demonstrate superior investor service right from the start.
  • Send supplementary forms with E-Subscription to streamline onboarding: Send digital forms for Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), side letters, or other relevant documents with E-Subscription forms for more organized and efficient document processing and tracking.

Data Room

  • Fund Offerings
    • Create or update a fund offering for each data room with new fields: title, description, subscription start date, subscription closing date, logo, banner, tags, and minimum subscription size
    • Promote an offering to highlight key points and subscription details
    • Broadcast an offering to existing investors not invested in the promoted fund or to a targeted segment (fund, contact type, investment status; may optionally exclude specific contacts)
  • Expanded Design/Formatting Flexibility
    • Customize the Data Room with flexible styling controls — apply visual edits at section, row, column, and component level
    • Style buttons, checkboxes, and links within data room components
    • Include documents when cloning a data room

Email Templates
Self-service features were introduced that enable fund managers to customize email templates:

  • Global customization: Customize email templates for defined groupings, i.e., across a client or fund theme
  • Insert fund logo and modify template fonts and colors: Create a design to align with your branding

Project Studio
New functionality designed to enhance and expand Project Studio capabilities:

  • Export all tasks in Microsoft Excel format, along with related comments and list of attachments
  • Mark tasks as Urgent, displaying Urgent badges on selected tasks
  • Count of new comments and attachments per task displayed on the Kanban board

NAV API Gateway
We worked directly with interested clients to demonstrate and support their use of the NAV API Gateway, which programmatically pulls granular data from a variety of NAV REST API endpoints to securely ingest into data warehouse or third-party systems. Usage has steadily grown over the past year — we supported more than 80 million API Gateway requests in 2025.

Continued Expansion of Digital Asset Solutions

NAV maintains its leadership position in the digital asset fund administration space by investing extensive resources to introduce and continuously improve technology specifically for this innovative and growing investment segment.

  • Development to support the unique requirements of tokenized funds:
    • Comprehensive tracking and reporting, including daily liquidity, daily reconciliations of the official NAV share register and the blockchain ledger of ownership, and tracking of RWA tokens used in DeFi applications or pledged as collateral
    • Specialized workflow & API integrations, such as API connectivity with blockchain oracle, entitlement, and teller contracts; integration with tokenization and Proof of Reserves (PoR) technology providers; automated communication with smart contracts for minting, burning, and other transactions; and direct interaction with forecasted NAV and teller operations for liquid tokenized funds
    • Dedicated transfer agent services, featuring risk-based, best practice Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) policies and daily investor monitoring for any changes concerning sanctions, adverse news, or political exposure
  • Platform connectivity increased to more than 170 CeFi exchanges and 200 DeFi blockchains
  • Investor wallet verification strengthened via Satoshi and digital signature testing

Innovative Automation for Streamlined Workflows

Expanded automation via the strategic use of AI/ML significantly reduced our manual effort and timelines, enabled new tools, boosted accuracy, and condensed service delivery time.

  • Launched the Investment Tracker tool, a comprehensive portfolio document management and activity-tracking solution
  • Integrated AI-based email analysis to improve response quality and turnaround times
  • Went live with AI-driven activity mapping of RTA cash transactions for capital calls
  • Rolled out scripting support for multicurrency and tokenized funds, weighted-average ROR calculations, expense reallocation, LexisNexis integration, and financial statement validation
  • Introduced significant advancements across investor management, compliance workflows, and third-party integrations with banks and risk management vendors
  • Automated reporting workflows
  • Delivered a real-time monitoring dashboard and kicked off a new audit visibility dashboard project

2025 marked a year of strong execution and strategic progress, with technology playing a central role in enabling scale, resilience, and superior client outcomes across the organization. Huge credit and thanks to the award-winning NAV Technology team who worked tirelessly to plan, develop, test, and launch an impressive number of significant projects.
